Our retreat goes far beyond what many people expect from a typical yoga retreat. It is a journey for body, mind and soul that delves deeply into the philosophy of Patanjali's eight-limbed yoga path. In our daily practice, we not only focus on physical asanas, but also integrate breathing exercises (pranayama), withdrawal of the senses (pratyahara) and deep meditation (dhyana).
Our experienced yoga teacher Maya will guide you through the asanas and ensure that each exercise is adapted to your personal level - whether you are a beginner or advanced. There are no extreme physical challenges here. It's about you feeling comfortable and working in harmony with your body and mind.
But what makes our retreat special is the singing bowl therapy. These sessions, led by Eszter and Lukas, help you find deep inner peace. The vibrations of the singing bowls are a powerful way to release stress and arrive fully in the moment. Individual support in a small group
In our small group of 12-15 participants, you will receive personal and individual support - far beyond the usual. It is important to us that each participant is supported on their own journey, be it during the yoga sessions or the in-depth singing bowl sessions, such as sound baths. There is enough space for exchange with the other participants, but also for moments of peace and retreat to use the time for yourself.
The peaceful surroundings in the Ananda Cottages offer you exactly this space. Surrounded by nature and far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, you can concentrate completely on your inner peace.
My personal story: Why Bali is so special to me
My husband and I have been traveling to Bali for years. What began as an escape from the stress of our daily work life has become a regular ritual for us. Here we find the peace that we often miss in our hectic everyday lives. My husband Michael, who is under a lot of pressure in his job, has particularly come to appreciate the holistic yoga concept, the digital detox phases and the breathtaking nature of Bali. He has discovered how to maintain the balance between a demanding job and inner peace through yoga and singing bowls.
Maya has called Bali her place of power for years. She returns to Bali several times a year with various yoga groups. Her tireless and passionate efforts make her unique - she shares her deep yoga knowledge and her love for Bali with us. She is a true yogini and my role model!
It is this experience that I would like to share with you. Bali has shown us how we can slow down our lives and focus on what is important - and I look forward to helping you do the same.

What you can expect during your Bali Sound- & Yoga retreat 2025
Our days begin with morning meditation and pranayama in the open yoga shala with a view of the rice fields. From waking up to breakfast - including the morning light asanas - we practise silence. This morning silence phase, which only lasts 2.5 hours, is loved and appreciated by all participants after some initial familiarization.
Maya then leads gentle yoga asanas that are suitable for all levels. The afternoons offer you time for yourself - whether you take part in one of the organized excursions or simply enjoy nature is up to you.
In the afternoon, the soothing singing bowl sessions with Eszter and Lukas will deeply relax you and help you to come back to the here and now. Our dinners together are an opportunity to exchange ideas and enjoy the healthy, delicious cuisine of Bali.
Daily Routine
7:00 - 8:00 a.m.: Morning meditation and pranayama in the open yoga shala with a view of the rice fields (in silence)
8:00 a.m.: Tea, coffee and fruit for refreshment (in silence)
8:30 - 9:30 a.m.: Gentle yoga asana practice with Maya, tailored to every level (in silence)
9:45 am: Rich breakfast in the hotel restaurant
10:00 - 16:00: Time at leisure - optionally you can take part in our organized excursions
16:00 - 18:00: Singing bowl session with Eszter and Lukas to find deep peace through vibrations and resonances
18:30: Dinner together and discussions in the group
Organized excursions: discover the spiritual depths of Bali
In addition to the daily yoga and singing bowl sessions, we will take you on guided excursions to the spiritual highlights of Bali. You will explore the famous rice terraces, visit temples and take part in traditional ceremonies. These experiences will help you to immerse yourself even more deeply in the process of slowing down and connecting with the spiritual energy of the island.
